JOEL DOMMETT NEWS
Joel Dommett and Romesh Ranganathan were amongst the big winners at the Chortle Awards 2017, with Romesh taking the award for best tour, and Joel being declared best breakthrough act.
Winners were picked via an online poll of six thousand comedy fans, after shortlists were drawn up by a panel of critics and independent comedy industry experts.
Sunday 4th December at 9:00pm on ITV1 will see Joel Dommett in the final of 2016s I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
After winning over thousands of fans throughout, the last three weeks has seen Joel make it into the final three contestents.

Joel Dommett stars as Dex in Fullwell 73’s new production White Island. A comic thriller with dark undertones and a big heart, set on the island of Ibiza starring Billy Zane and Lyndon Ogbourne.

Joel Dommett and Nish Kumar will record a new BBC Three travelogue, provisionally titled Fitter Than... - the eight episode series will follow them as they meet some of the fittest people on Earth, including Sherpas and Masai warriors.
The guys will travel to Nepal, Greenland, Kenya, Mexico and other locations in the October shoot.
'I'm really excited,' Joel told Chortle. 'The idea is that I do all the fitness stuff and hopefully that'll be funny. I definitely won't be able to keep up with them but I'll try.'
The series is made by Rumpus Media, which also made Romesh Ranganathan's Asian Provocateur for BBC Three.

Joel is an exciting and fresh talent on the UK stand up comedy circuit who gained rave reviews for his Edinburgh shows, Neon Hero in 2011, Nunchuck Silver Medalist in 2012, and 2014’s Finding Emo.
Joel has enjoyed many different roles since starting his career in comedy, from being the face of MTV, writing and presenting their daily news bulletins, to presenting Live In Chelsea, the live E4 after show to hit series Made In Chelsea.

Joel burst onto the comedy scene in 2007 and quickly established himself as one of the most exciting comedians on the circuit. He has become a regular face on TV, from being a finalist in 2016’s I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! and a panelist on Sky 1’s Bring the Noise alongside Nicole Scherzinger, to presenting Live In Chelsea, the live E4 after-show to hit series Made In Chelsea.
Joel boasts a constantly increasing array of TV credits, he has also been a team captain on Reality Bites, featured on Drunk History and Channel 4’s Comedy Gala (Channel 4). Joel also co-starred in the hugely successful Impractical Jokers and has numerous acting credits to his name, including a starring role in his first feature film White Island, as well as Skins and Popatron.
The last year has been huge for Joel after his highly memorable performance on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. Joel gained thousands of new fans due to his unique brand of humor and his lovable personality while on the show – so many he went onto finish second on the show.
The coming year sees Joel take on his biggest tour to date with two dates at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, and dates all round the country.
