Originally from Widnes, Cheshire, Matt Tedford is an actor, comedian and writer. Matt came to prominence with an award-winning portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in the hit show Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho. The show has played to sold-out crowds around the UK and Ireland from the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival to the Latitude Festival, culminating in a total sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2014 where the show played to an audience of over 4500.
A natural performer, Matt takes his own brand of stand up comedy across the country is currently developing several projects for stage and screen.
Matt has performed in plays such as Alfie, Angels in America, Faust and a regional tour of Noël Coward’s Private Lives, and is about to embark on London run of Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho at the Leicester Square Theatre (March 2015).
